Placement and Skills Development

Our organization has joined forces with Refiners House of Prayer to initiate and launch “PASD”, an initiative that is supporting people affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic by helping them transition to growing sectors of the economy. www.refinershub.org . We are working with other organizations in the Peel Region and the Greater Toronto Area to provide volunteers, resources, financial aid and facilities necessary to make this project a success at a regional level.

Supporting Black Canadian Communities Initiative (Greater Organizational Stability Project)

Not-for-profit organizations need to build capacity in order to succeed. Capacity-building is the process of developing the skills, resources, and knowledge within an organization to provide quality services and achieve its goals. This includes training staff, securing funding, creating processes, and forming partnerships. Capacity-building is essential for success, allowing teams to be better equipped to tackle any challenges and ensure long-term growth and better serve their constituents.

Canada Summer Jobs is an important opportunity for students to gain valuable work experience in their chosen field. It also provides a chance to build networks, learn important skills, and gain a better understanding of the job market. It is a great way to transition from school to the workplace, and to gain insight into the culture of a particular industry. Additionally, it can provide a great opportunity for students to build their resume, as the experience will look great to potential employers

COVID-19 Emergency Relief Project

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Cope has been providing much-needed support to vulnerable seniors in Toronto and the surrounding area. This includes distributing information about the virus and running African-Canadian seniors programs and disseminating COVID-19 information in Brampton/surrounding Toronto GTA;
